This boat is a real curiosity. We don’t know who made it. It was bought by David Rosen, the former owner of Adirondack Guideboat, for his own personal use. But, then after living in Vermont for 35 years he moved to New York City. He had no use for a boat down there. Before he bought it he took it out for a test row. It rows beautifully. The only drawback to is…..the boat is about 15 lbs heavier than our wood or kevlar boats. ON THE WATER, those additional pounds make absolutely no difference….they even add to the stability.. It’s probably too heavy to easily cartop. But you can trailer it, or if if the boat is going to be near or on the water, you’ll do just fine.
The oars that came with the boat were wrong. We are including a set of our 8ft oars at no extra charge. Overall the boat is a steal.
